Hedrick Ribbon Cutting Celebrates Partnership with EMS

Members of the Chillicothe Chamber of Commerce, as well as Hedrick Medical Center staff, community members, and associates with Emergency Medical Service (EMS) gathered Monday morning, June 13, 2011, for a ribbon cutting outside of the Emergency ward doors at Hedrick Medical Center. HMC, a member of the Saint Luke's Health System, recently established a service contract with EMS, to provide the hospital with 24/7 emergency room care, as of Monday. The ribbon-cutting signified the first full day of the partnership between the two entities. HMC CEO Matt Wenzel holds the scissors for the ribbon cutting above. Next to him, in the white lab coat, is Dean Karas, M.D., who will lead the new emergency medical team.
