Chillicothe Mayor Chuck Haney filed his candidacy for re-election at 4:20 p.m. Friday. Haney, 71, resides at 1229 Broadway in the 2nd Ward. He filed on the Democratic ticket.

To date, 12 candidates have filed for elected city offices and the city council has three races. The races are in the 1st Ward: Sid Cornell (D) and Marvin Holcer (R); 3rd Ward: Tom Douglas (D) and Donna Preszler (R); and 4th Ward: James Beaman (R) and Paul Howard (R).

In addition to Haney, candidates uncontested, to date, are incumbents constable Richard Knouse (D), treasurer Sherry Parks (D), Clerk Rozanne Frampton (D), Auditor Theresa Gatson Kelly (D), 2nd Ward Councilman Maurice Zion (R).

Filing for city offices closes at 5 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 18.
