There currently are six locations at which to seek shelter during storm emergencies. Some are available 24 hours a day while others are open only during normal business hours.

Facilities open 24 hours a day are:

• Hedrick Medical Center office building, 103 11th Street,
• Strand Hotel, 716 Clay Street,
• Chillicothe Department of Emergency Services, Second and Locust streets.

Other storm shelters are:

• Senior Citizens Center, 440 Locust Street,
• City Hall, 715 Washington Street,
• Livingston County Courthouse, Washington Street.

The storm shelter at the Livingston County Library is temporarily unavailable due to facility renovation.
