City Hires Administrative Assistant
09 19 11

Haleigh Tague is the new administrative assistant for City Administrator Ike Holland and Mayor Chuck Haney for City of Chillicothe.

Tague was employed by the city council in executive session Thursday evening following a recommendation by Holland and a unanimous vote by members of the city council.

The new administrative assistant is a 2009 graduate of Benedictine College in Atchison, Kansas, with a Bachelor of Arts degree in mass communications. She has been serving as executive assistant and marketing and sales representative since 2004 at Lake Viking Marine near Gallatin.

Tague was employed by Riverwood Winery in Weston as an event coordinator and was an intern, marketing for Colbalt Yachts. She is highly skilled in software and proficiency with PC and Macintosh systems. She is a 2004 graduate of Gallatin High School.

Tague, who was selected from a field of 21 applicants, began her duties Monday, September 19, 2011, at her city hall office. Interviews of the top five finalists were held by a three-member committee recently.

The city has been without an administrative assistant since late April, but desired to wait until a new administrator was employed before selecting an administrative assistant.
