Operation Help

Operation Help was once selected as Station of the Year. Operation Help is a 17-year-old social assistance program financially supported through donations from local churches, individuals, and organizations. On average, 225 families and/or individuals come to Operation Help each year for temporary financial assistance. Fourteen volunteers - some of whom are 55 & Go (formerly RSVP) members - give over 300 hours of service to meet this community need each year. 55 & Go (formerly RSVP) workers are "an important source of volunteer screeners for us," says the Rev. Dr. Larry Odom-Groh, president of Operation Help.
