INVITATION TO BID

The City of Chillicothe is seeking a farmer to cash lease approximately 24 acres of land located along Route V and at the Fire Training Center for hay purposes only. Approximately 10 acres is a part of the City’s new Industrial Park and approximately 14 acres at the Fire Training Center. The goal of the City is to make the land useful while keeping it in a professional and aesthetically pleasing manner as similar used property. The land may be used only for hay cutting. No row crops or livestock are permitted. The term is one year, for the 2024 hay season. Liability Insurance is required in the amount of $1 Million. The City will provide a written lease form. Bid packets can be picked up at the City Clerk’s Office, City Hall, 715 Washington St., Chillicothe, MO.

Sealed bids are due prior to 10:00 a.m. on February 15, 2024, at the City Clerk’s Office, City Hall, 715 Washington St., Chillicothe, MO, 64601.  Mark bids “INDUSTRIAL PARK- TRAINING CENTER HAY BID”.

Acceptance and rejection of bids: The City Council reserves the right to accept the bid which in its judgement is the highest and best bid and to reject any or all bids and to waive any informalities, omissions, oversights, or irregularities.
