TAKE NOTICE that the City of Chillicothe, Missouri intends to sell the following described real estate property by sealed bids: 

1. 423 Second Street (empty corner lot):  SECTION: 1 TOWNSHIP: 57 RANGE: 24 LEGAL: GRAVES & LEEPER ADDITION BEG AT SW COR OF BLK 1 OF 75' N112' W75' S112' TO POB

Sealed bids are due to the City Clerk’s Office at City Hall 715 Washington Street, Chillicothe, MO  64601 by 1:00 p.m. on September 20, 2023.  Please mark “Real Estate Bid- 423 Second Street” on the outside of the envelope.  Bid forms are available at the City Clerk’s office.

Please note that the city is asking for a $5,000 minimum bid on this property.  The bid will go to the highest bidder.   The highest bidder must pay the City Clerk with Cash or Cashier’s Check by 5:00 PM on September 28, 2023. 

TO HAVE AND TO HOLD all of Grantor's right, title and interest in and to the above-described properties unto Grantee, Grantee's heirs, successors and/or assigns forever; so that neither Grantor nor Grantor's heirs, successors and/or assigns shall have claim or demand any right or title to the properties described above.

The City of Chillicothe reserves the right to accept or reject any or all offers and to waive any informalities, omission, oversights, or irregularities in any bid.
